Broadstairs is located on the Isle of Thanet alongside with two other cities Margate and Ramsgate. A lot of students come here from all over Europe, most of them stay at host families and they study at Kent School of English. The people of Broadstairs are friendly and always willing to help you if you need it. There are a lot of smaller restaurants and cafés, the one I'd recommend visiting is called Broadstairs Kebab (they serve typical "English" food! :). They have large meals for reasonable prices. Fortunately Broadstairs is quite small, so getting lost here is quite hard, and even if you do get lost you can quickly find High Street or the seafront, and from those places you can easily find your way home. You can also just ask someone to help you. As you walk along the seafront you can have a nice view of one of the seven bays. There is a shopping centre called the Westwood Cross nearby, where you can basically shop for anything you need. Luckily, it doesn't attract much traffic into Broadstairs since it's not necessary to go through the town to get there. In summary, I like Broadstairs a lot if I had the opportunity of living here I would happily take it.
